About the China Society of Radiation Protection (CSRP)

The Chinese Society for Radiation Protection (CSRP) is a non-profit national social organization established with the approval of the State Council and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was founded on June 17, 2014, and is a member of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA). The CSRP is affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Radiation Protection and is supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its business guidance unit is the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Administration, and it is subject to supervision and management by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The mission of the CSRP is to adhere to the Constitution, laws, regulations, and policies of the People's Republic of China, as well as social ethics and customs. It promotes academic democracy, a factual scientific attitude, and rigorous academic conduct; advocates the spirit of dedication, innovation, and collaboration, and unites a wide range of radiation protection professionals and other science and technology workers. The CSRP aims to promote the development and application of radiation protection science and technology, the dissemination and promotion of radiation protection science and technology, and the growth and improvement of the professional skills of radiation protection personnel. It contributes to the sustainable development of the economy, society, and the environment.

The scope of the CSRP's activities includes:

Conducting academic exchanges and activities related to radiation protection and related disciplines to promote the development and application of radiation protection science and technology.

Providing technical consulting and services to members and organizational members, promoting advanced technologies.

Engaging in friendly exchanges with foreign academic organizations and science and technology workers.

Protecting the rights and interests of members and promoting scientific ethics and academic integrity.

Conducting public outreach and communication to promote public understanding.

Organizing technology exhibitions in accordance with relevant regulations.

Providing advice to government departments on radiation protection matters and conducting evaluations, consultations, and professional title assessments for scientific and technological projects upon authorization by government departments.

Conducting professional training and identifying and recommending talents. Accepting other tasks entrusted by relevant business units.

The CSRP has four working departments: the Comprehensive Administrative Department, the Academic and International Exchange Department, the Public Communication Department, and the Finance Department.
